Numerous bars, restaurants and taverns offer excellent local cuisine. Almost all places have a beautiful view of the Bay or the ancient city. The modern resort is contrasted with the surrounding Cretan villages. Life in them is almost the same as thousands of years ago. Still, at the dawn at sea, leaving fishermen, children and the elderly spin tackle, from the taverns came the wonderful smell of Greek coffee. And all this leisurely life plunges into a unique atmosphere of happiness and peace.
